Hello friends! It’s crazy to think the last blog we posted was our Grand Opening Party last May! Since then, we’ve been hard at work improving the studio space and filling our weekends with rentals. So, we figured it was about time that we gave a proper introduction! Maryland Creative Collective has been around for several months now, and while you’ve gotten to know the studio, you should also meet the owners behind it.
Anne and Mandi have been photogra-friends for many years now. We’ve shot countless weddings together, taken trips, and attended conferences. We were both yearning for something more for our businesses for quite a while. Anne started looking for a studio space in the winter of 2018/2019 and brought Mandi along as a sounding board. After one long morning chat over coffee, Maryland Creative Collective was born! We kept it top secret until the lease was signed, sealed & delivered for the studio. Behind the scenes, we were hitting thrift shops, thinking about business plans, getting blueprints for a kitchen, registering our studio name, and building a website. April 1, 2019 Maryland Creative Collective launched!
Mandi is a cat mom to three adorable rescues- Pippin, Olive, and Pita. Chesapeake Charm Photography just celebrated it’s 5th birthday. In her spare time, you can find her hanging with the kitties catching up on Netflix. She’s probably drinking an iced coffee and wearing Lily Pulitzer after hitting a kickboxing class. She’s always up for a trip to the beach or hiking with her boyfriend, Mark.
Anne is a mom and a wife. With two kids, a husband, and a mastiff, her days are full. She owns Anne Casey Photography and Bmore Boudoir. In her spare time she’s probably watching Gilmore Girls and Fixer Upper while whipping up a good cup of coffee.
Put us together and we’re likely talking about charcuterie boards and the best tacos in town. We’re dreaming up different ways to use our studio and how it can benefit the creative community.
Now that you’ve gotten to meet the owners, we want to meet you! Leave us a comment and let us know what you do! How can we support you?
